We love showcasing our members carvings; after all, getting people to carve is what Woodcarving Workshops is all about! In the gallery you’ll see a wide range of carvings, from novice to advanced; each one the result of time and effort, inspiration and dedication. We value them all!

Description:
This is my second attempt of a carving in the round - this time of a Burmese Cat with eyes open and waving one paw (a Maneki-neko that is beckoning in a european way.) The pupils of the cat's eyes were hollowed out but didn't look right until a friend recommended adding a tiny white spot to each eye, which I did by means of a toothpick, and suddenly the carving looked more alive.
This project was done by a carver with less than 12 months experience.
