We love showcasing our members carvings; after all, getting people to carve is what Woodcarving Workshops is all about! In the gallery you’ll see a wide range of carvings, from novice to advanced; each one the result of time and effort, inspiration and dedication. We value them all!

Description:
Ive been a Timber joiner for 3 years now and recently over lockdown decided to try my hand with wood carving as i love the idea and i was truly inspired by a friend of mine who carves Maori instruments. He leant me 3 different chisels and a mullet to practice. And recommended i took a look at your site. Which i joined immediately and binged your videos. I purchased my own tools and holding device and this is my first project i done for my Mum to put on her wall at home which she has full of crucifixes she has collected over the years. It gave me great satisfaction working out the body shape as i went along and next time i Carve a body or another Jesus i know what i will change. But overall im quite pleased with my first attempt. Thanks for all the Tips, Chris Pye! Tom.
