We love showcasing our members carvings; after all, getting people to carve is what Woodcarving Workshops is all about! In the gallery you’ll see a wide range of carvings, from novice to advanced; each one the result of time and effort, inspiration and dedication. We value them all!

Description:
I was doing woodturning before I took up carving. I made a few large chess pieces for a friend: king, queen, bishop and pawn; but avoided trying a knight because I didn’t have the carving skills. Having been carving for a few years I thought I would put right the omission but with a realistic horse carving rather than the simplified version found on most chess pieces.
