Description:
I studied the Bavarian style woodcarving with Georg Keilhofer. This was my first loon which was inspired by a pattern from Rick Butz. The body is 2 pieces laminated together and the neck/head attached as a separate piece. I studied photos of loons for the coloration. The distinctive red glass eyes were installed using epoxy.
