We love showcasing our members carvings; after all, getting people to carve is what Woodcarving Workshops is all about! In the gallery you’ll see a wide range of carvings, from novice to advanced; each one the result of time and effort, inspiration and dedication. We value them all!

Description:
This was my second attempt at any woodcarving, with the project being taken directly from Chris' woodcarving workshops videos. I enjoyed carving it, but didn't have any fishtail gouges so I used a very narrow gouge to reach into small gaps. I may decorate the boss at a later stage - I would like to try a cross hatch pattern. I had no workbench for this project, so fixed a sash clamp into a B&D workmate - worked pretty well!
This project was done by a carver with less than 12 months experience.
