We love showcasing our members carvings; after all, getting people to carve is what Woodcarving Workshops is all about! In the gallery you’ll see a wide range of carvings, from novice to advanced; each one the result of time and effort, inspiration and dedication. We value them all!

Description:
As a complete beginner carving less than a year this is one I did rather naively off my own bat. Now I've read up a bit and watched Chris's excellent video's. I realised I've carved the bear legs across the grain. But I like the grain pattern on his bum and he has stout legs so I don’t think they’ll break. Now I’ve got my hands on some Alder, which should be easier to carve, I’m going to have a go at the Apple.
This project was done by a carver with less than 12 months experience.
