These small, inner spaces are tricky to get at cleanly. Two sort of shortbent (spoon) carving tools will really help: flat (#3) gouges - called 'grounders' or 'grounding tools' - and left & right skew chisels.

Hi Chris,
Apparently the problem is getting them. Not only don't they have any stock they don't even know when they will. Looked at Ashley Isles to and they don't have stock in equivalents in ANY size lol.

Simon- Pfeil, cuts 2aL and 2aR. Left and right spoonbent gouges. My favourite width is 3mm.
