Dennis - There is a drawing and notes about what I am doing here in the download, which you can find most easily on the About > Downloads page. You don't really need a pattern. Just divide the area into 4 and, as you make each quarter a stage, the 'pattern, as such will develop.

This pattern you show, the four sections do you have a copy of it so I could print it out and work on it.
