This series of lessons is about using outlines or profiles of a model and 'registering' them onto a block of wood so that you can get well into your carving quickly and with good reference points to help you further.
I picked a little model bird, pretty much at random, as my example. It turned out to quite a nice, stylised thing in the end and Carrie thought you might like to make it anyway, so I've put a download of the drawings below. However... The point of these workshops is to show you how you might go about converting some model of your own into a woodcarving so do have a go at something else!
