7 Twig and Bud

It's easy to carve yourself into a corner! I wanted to start working on the bud early, to get it out of the way while the bird has lots of protecting wood around it. 

You'll see me gripping and using the carving tools in another unusual way, one that supports the wood as I press on it to cut.

The bud itself is a stylised version of Ash. I haven't included a download in this project and thus no drawing. Pause the video to look at it and sketch your own, and don't forget you can always print off a screen shot.
