After that, I removed the paper and finishing with beeswax. I used a 'photomount' adhesive and the paper comes away readily with a solvent like denatured alcohol or methylated spirits. I've had mixed success with PVA type glues and you may need a sanding block to remove the paper.

Pete - Yeah, Carrie was not impressed that I was using her brand new hairdryer but, tucked as she was behind the camera, she was far too slow stopping me! The 'proper' hairdryer was in the other workshop...
Somehow, I doubt I'll ever get the chance to use Carrie's again.

Love the project Chris. Pity my grandchildren are too old! Not too sure about the poncy new hairdryer though.
