This is an important stage: You've laid out the pattern carefully; now you need to work evenly and cleanly. The shape of individual gadroons and thus the moulding as a whole follows from these cuts.
One important thing to remember: there is no special 'gadroon carving' - you are using normal, everyday carving techniques and dealing with the wood as you usually do. You are just applying them to a particular enterprise.
