8 Scallop Shell part 3

Use a deep gouge (#10 or 11, called a 'fluter') to run the grooves (or 'flutes') that give the scallop shell its characteristic appearance.

In this lesson I show you a simple way of laying out the grooves, which widen as they pass to the edge, and how to carve them.
