'Truing up' surfaces and setting in edges. Suggesting the undercuts. Deepening crevices and hollows.
This carving is all about balancing. Firstly the lines: how they move and flow; also the contrasts, between the curves of the flower and the straight edges of the frame for example. And then in the surface forms: balancing the convex with the concave.
Make sure you tune those lines and pamper those surfaces!
